The footloose moves were made by Paramount which ended up making 80 million worth of ticket sales from the movie, and it only cost them about 8 million to make.
The movie title was initially called “Cheek to Cheek” but once interest came for the movie from film companies, the name was changed to a better name called “Footloose”.
In 1984 two songs with the same name “Jump” entered the charts. One by Pointer Sisters and the other by Van Halen. “Jump” by Van Halen was released as a single on December 1983 and was put on their album 1984. “Jump” by Pointer Sisters was released on April 11th 1984 and was the third single from there album “Break Out”.
