1987 was the year for some of my favourite 80’s songs which include “Run to Paradise” by the Choirboys, “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

“The Final Countdown” by Europe is often requested as the last song or used in what they called a leaving circle. The Leaving Circle is where all the guests form a circle around the dance floor. The bride and groom stand in the middle. Once the music starts playing, the newlyweds go around the circle in opposite directions saying goodbye to all of the guests that attended their wedding. The leaving circle requires about two songs to complete with a third song as a backup for couples who take longer.
