How do you handle audio setup requirements for separate ceremony and reception locations on-site?
Our core wedding DJ service is a comprehensive 5-hour Reception Package, which can be easily customised with our popular Ceremony Music and Cocktail Hour add-ons. For venues with separate locations on-site, we handle this by seamlessly transferring our high-performance sound setup between areas. We arrive early to set up and manage your ceremony audio, and then efficiently relocate and recalibrate the equipment inside your reception space during the cocktail transition, ensuring flawless sound quality from your first vow to the final song of the night.
Can we add your interactive photo booths or lawn games if we only booked the 5-hour DJ reception package?
Absolutely. All of our premium photo entertainment including the classic Photo Booth, Mirror Booth, GlamBot, 360 Video Booth, Photo Mosaic, and outdoor Lawn Games, can be easily bundled into your package as add-ons. We manage the entire delivery, setup, and packing down alongside our DJ equipment, giving you a completely seamless, single-vendor experience.
Do you charge travel or accommodation fees for weddings in the Yarra Valley?
No, there are no hidden travel or accommodation fees for weddings within the Yarra Valley region. Because we are local and regularly service venues across Coldstream, Yarra Glen, Healesville, and the surrounding hills, as long as your venue falls within our service area, we do not charge a travel fee.
What happens if our vineyard ceremony is outdoors and it starts to rain?
We are fully flexible and used to the changing weather patterns in the valley. If your venue coordinator pivots to a wet-weather backup plan (like moving from the lawn into a chapel, barrel room, or clear marquee), we adjust our setup transfer accordingly. We work closely with the venue staff on the day to ensure our DJ and photo booth equipment is safely under cover and ready to go without missing a beat.
How early do you arrive at the venue to set up your DJ equipment?
We always arrive at least 2-3 hours prior to our scheduled start time to ensure all audio systems, wireless microphones, and lighting layouts are meticulously set up, sound-checked, and ready before your first guests step foot into the space.
Are you fully insured to perform at premium yarra valley wedding estates?
Yes. Matt Jefferies Entertainment carries full Public Liability Insurance (PLI), and all of our equipment is regularly tested and tagged for safety. We work directly with your venue’s event coordinator to supply all necessary safety documentation well ahead of time.
How do we secure our date for a yarra valley wedding
Because popular weekend dates during the peak Yarra Valley wedding seasons book out up to 12-18 months in advance, we recommend reaching out as early as possible. Once we confirm our availability for your date, a formal booking deposit secures your slot.
