Wedding Entertainment Melbourne 1986 Most Requested Songs
It was the year 1986, and John Farnham released the single “You’re the Voice”, which in my opinion is one of the all-time greatest songs. When it comes to weddings, and this song is being played, it gets a huge reaction with guests singing. I have been lucky enough to see John Farnham live four times and he knows how to put on a show. If you have not seen him live, then do yourself a favour and watch him live.
Wedding Entertainment Melbourne 1986 most requested songs blog is about popular songs that I constantly play at wedding receptions all over Melbourne. This list has something for every guest from the singalong to the classic get up and dance track.
One of the song choices in this blog, “True Colors” made the list because I have had couples now and again request this for their First Dance song. Furthermore, it also makes for a good background song to play while guests are having their entree or main meals.
Did You Know:
“How will I Know” by Whitney Houston was not written for her in the first place. The song was originally written for Janet Jackson and her writers at the time felt that the song did not match what Janet was after for her album so they passed on the opportunity. Whitney Houston’s writers, however, hears the song lyrics and needed a pop song for her album. They fell in love with the song and got Whitney to sing it and recorded for her album. Indeed, it became a massive hit song.

WE complete our wedding receptions with the perfect soundtrack for your background music and make sure all your important moments have the perfect song of your choice played. We also provide a basic MC package or a professional MC package with over 20 years of experience being an MC for weddings, parties and corporate events. We bring a selection of lighting designed to make your event more fun and exciting when dancing and provide all the sound equipment required to perform at your wedding reception.
One of our most common asked questions is what time we arrive to setup our equipment. Every wedding is different. Some have ceremonies in the same building and some do not. For the couples that do have it in the same building as the reception, we make sure we are ready to go before the ceremony starts otherwise if there is no wedding ceremony in the same building, then we setup two to three hours before the wedding starts. We also have all our equipment tested and tagged to suit venue requirements.
