Wedding Entertainment Mornington Peninsula 1999 Most Requested Songs

1999 is a good year for hit songs with many of these being played at wedding receptions all over Melbourne. The standout song in this list that gets played at almost every wedding is “Man I Feel Like a Woman” by Shania Twain. This hit gets all the ladies up and on to the dance floor singing and dancing.

When I play “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys during the entree or main meal, guests will often start singing, getting them in the mood for when I officially open the dance floor later in the night.

Did you know:

“Zorba’s Dance” by LCD was a huge hit in Australia, and that is due to its large population of Greek people. LCD is a computer-generated dance act, and Zorba’s dance was a huge success in the nightclubs. The music video for this song featured computer-animated overweight men playing instruments and dancing to the hit song.

LCD was signed to Virgin Records and only had one hit single before being discontinued in 2000 with their second single called “Follow the leader” not charting. LCD stands for Large Cool Dudes.

Fun Facts:

“Mambo No. 5 “by Lou Bega was a massive hit in the 1999’s, and it’s a mambo and jazz dance song. Lou Bega has also appeared on many TV shows including shows like Access Hollywood, Mad TV, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Martin Short show and many others and in the computer game Tropico, Lou Bega is one of the characters that the player can choose as their dictatorial persona.
