Wedding Entertainment Yarra Valley 1998 Most Requested Songs
1998 is a big year for music hit songs, and this top 10 was a hard one to decide on because there are so many requested songs from this year, but I included the ones that get requested on a regular basis. To be honest, there is not a standout song in this list as all songs in this list are excellent dance floor fillers except “From This Moment” by Shania Twain which is used a lot as background music or for couples first dance song.
Did you know:
“Gettin’ Jiggy With It” by Will Smith spend three weeks on top of the Billboards charts at number one spot. He also won a Grammy award for best rap solo performance in 1999. Gettin’ Jiggy is one of my favourite songs to play during an R & B set at a wedding reception, and it gets everyone up and dancing. However, in 2010 was ranked number 19 on the AOL radio’s list of 100 worst songs ever produced.
“5,6,7,8” by Steps was a massive hit in Australia reaching number 1 on the Australian music charts. It was also popular in several other countries where it made it into the top 5. Steps were a group of singers who were put together by a popular magazine which put in an advert inside looking for singers to audition to be in a new pop band. Steps were released on their debut album called “Step one” and was their first single to make it big worldwide.
