Wedding DJ Melbourne 1980 Most Requested Songs

Matt Jefferies Entertainment – Wedding DJ Melbourne Music Tips

Wedding DJ Melbourne 1980 most requested songs blog is home to some of the biggest smash hit songs played at weddings all year round. No matter the age, you can always get people up and dancing to hits from the ’80s. The thing I love about ’80s music is that they are family-friendly and not only do the young ones dance, but the older ones get up and have a boogie. Listed below are 10 of the most requested songs for any wedding reception over my years of being a wedding DJ Melbourne.

Did You Know:

Set up in 1973, the Queen Fan Club is officially recognized by Guinness World Record, as being the longest-running Rock group fan club in the world. Also, Freddie Mercury, the frontman for Queen, wrote the song and lyrics to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” while taking a bubble bath, which was all written in one night.

Fun Fact:

A man named Mick Jackson originally wrote the song “Blame it on the Boogie” for Stevie Wonder but later released it himself calling it “The Battle of the Boogie”. Before it was released, Mick Jackson played it at a festival in the UK where the Jackson 5 crew were on the lookout for new songs. The Jackson 5 crew secretly recorded it and quickly took it back and recorded their version called “Blame it on the boogie”. Both songs released around the same time and both charted. Two different versions of the song by two different artists.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love – Queen

Funky Town – Lipps, Inc.

Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough – Michael Jackson
